FDSQ Mission Statement

Friends of the DaPonte String Quartet (FDSQ) is a non-profit organization formed to develop the resources to enable the DaPonte String Quartet to bring excellence in chamber music to audiences worldwide through performances, education, and personal contact.

FDSQ presents the DaPonte Quartet's Summer Season (in South Bristol, Harpswell, Kennebunk and at The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay) and Winter Season (in Newcastle, Topsham, Falmouth and Thomaston). FDSQ also supports the Quartet's performances for schools, hospitals, and retirement communities in Maine, and its national/international performance tours, master classes, and workshops.

How to Volunteer

FDSQ always needs volunteer expertise to fulfill its mission. Much goes on behind the scenes of all DaPonte Quartet performances. A network of volunteers assists the Quartet and helps audiences enjoy the concerts.
